The Day of the Triffids [Ignite Films Blu-ray]

The flowering of man-eating Triffids are the undesired fallout of a disastrous meteor shower, which has blinded everyone who glanced at it. Howard Keel and Janina Faye take us on a tour of a United Kingdom in chaos while Kieron Moore and Janette Scott search for a way to defeat the leafy menace. This film, long in sorry shape, has been returned to its eerie glory to remind new viewers why it was such an epochal text for British science fiction.
